Role: General Manager Fleet Operations
General Manager role is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to Head Operations at Hyderabad corporate office. Youll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader.
Should have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics. The goal of the General Manager Operations position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
Exposure towards Passenger Transport, Bus Transport, Trucks & Containers would be an added advantage.
Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
- Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
- Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
- Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.)
- Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
- Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
- Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance
- Support COO in fundraising ventures
- Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
- Manage relationships with partners/vendors Requirements and skills
- Proven experience as General Manager or equivalent in relevant role
- Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
Preferred candidate profile
Preferred candidate would be preferably from Transport industry with exposure towards passenger transport, employee transport and experience in handling government organizations with a flair to liasion etc., employee of Ex-Transport corporation would be an added advantage.
Education: Graduate Engineer with an MBA / Any Graduate with PG
Experience: Minimum 20 Years in Transport / Logistics and huge fleet management
Desired: Preferable to have experience in Urban Transport / Public Transport
Age: Maximum of 55 Years

Work Experience:
4-6 Years of Experience as Project Coordinator in Fleet Operations\Bus Manufacturing companies\Automotive Industry.
Project Coordinator JD:
- Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of assigned projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all the aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of the project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of the project.
- Responsible for project coordination for the project assigned till completion of the project.
- Coordinate with project coordination for all operational activities/Data/Billing/STU communications.
- Looks after backend processes, report generation etc.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Should have automotive experience, having knowledge in Bus Industry.
- Regular views of the project schedule & budget with Management/Procurement/Engineering.
- Prepare project budget in consultation with Sales/marketing team and Procurement team.
- Maintain Project schedule, budget & cash flow.
- Strong working knowledge of Software’s.
- Ability to ensure the successful completion of team deliverables both from internal resources, as well as external resources such as clients, customers, vendors, cross functional support group, etc.
- Personal sense of ownership of all facets of a project or task.
- Listening to and understanding customer challenges and requirement.
- Strong communication skills and problem solving skills.

Qualification:
Graduate (or) BE / B.Tech
Work Experience:
4-6 Years of Experience in Fleet Operations preferably in Bus fleet operating companies.
Job Description:
- Identifying data sources & Collecting data.
- To handle all depot operational activities of Fleet on daily basis.
- Ensuring on timly Fleet Management as per the schedule.
- To ensure SOP’s are being followed.
- Supervising Regular fleet maintance and 24*7 alert based monitoring.
- Coordinating with vendors and clients and monitoring their performance on regular basis
- Closely monitoring the fleet/Driver/Route Management
- Monitor and ensure fleet operation in compliance with local and state rules and regulations
- Develop and implement standard operational in standards to maintain vehicle by advocating company objectives.
- Promote safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings and meeting with drivers.
- Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer’s complaints.
- MIS reporting
- Laisioning with Govt Department / Customers/Clients etc
- Efficiently managing a team of drivers and vehicles
- Being the first point of contact for all drivers
- Good communication skills and analytical skills
- Time management skills and great knowledge of vehicles.
